43 Farringdon Street Public Inquiry - Pre-Inquiry MeetingThe purpose of a Pre-Inquiry Meeting (PIM) is to help the Inspector and all parties concerned with the Public Inquiry to prepare for the Inquiry itself, so as to enable the proceedings to be conducted as efficiently and speedily as possible. No discussion of the merits or otherwise of the proposals is permitted at a PIM. It is not the function of a PIM to consider matters, including evidence, which should appropriately be discussed at the Public Inquiry.
The Inspector held a Pre-Inquiry Meeting (PIM) at The Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London at 14:00 on Monday 11th December 2006 which related to a previous application for t his site. He does not intend to hold a new Pre-Inquiry Meeting (PIM) so is content that matters recorded in the Pre-Inquiry Meeting (PIM) notes are relevant to this new Inquiry (the second application on this site). The Agenda for the Pre-Inquiry Meeting can be viewed here. (Documents ID/1) A copy of the Pre-Inquiry Meeting (PIM) notes can be viewed here (Document ID/3). The Inspector has also produced an advice note (Document ID/2) and an additional note following the change in application (Document ID/5). The Inspector's note on 'Ruling on Procedure at the Inquiry' (Document ID/4) will also be relevant to this Inquiry. (06/11/2007) Further Pre-Inquiry Meeting Notes (Document ID/6). |
