The following proposals have been published:

1.  The Highways Agency has published proposals for a bypass of Mottram in Longdendale, Hollingworth and Tintwistle, on the A57 and A628 trunk roads.

2.  Tameside Borough Council has published proposals for a new road known as the Glossop Spur road.

As a result of objections made, a public inquiry is being held to consider the proposals. The Inquiry will consider the Orders, draft Orders and Notice associated with the proposals.

The following Draft Orders and Notice relate to the Highways Agency’s proposal to bypass the villages of Mottram in Longdendale, Hollingworth and Tintwistle:

1.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57 / A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) Order 200 .

2.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57 / A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) (Detrunking) Order 200 .

3.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57 / A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) (Side Roads) Order 200 .

4.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A628 / A616 Route Restraint Measures) (Side Roads) Order 200 .

5.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57 / A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass) Compulsory Purchase Order (MP No )

6.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A628 / A616 Route Restraint Measures) Compulsory Purchase Order (MP No ) 200 .

7.  The A57 / A628 / A616 Hyde to M1 Trunk Road (A57/A628 Mottram to Tintwistle Bypass)(Side Roads) Order 20.. (Partial Revocation) Order 20..

8.  The A57 Trunk Road Bypass (M67 Eastern Terminal Roundabout to Mottram Showground Roundabout)(Prohibition of Certain Classes Of Traffic and Pedestrians) Order 200 .

9.  Notice of Intention to issue a Certificate Under Section 19(1)(a) of, and paragraph 6(1)(b) of Schedule 3 to, the Acquisition of Land Act 1981 In Relation To Open Space Land At Tintwistle.

The following Orders, which relate to the Glossop Spur proposal, have been made by Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation:

1.  The Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (Glossop Spur - Longdendale/Hadfield) (Classified Road) (Side Roads) Order 2006

2.  The Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (Glossop Spur - Longdendale/Hadfield) Compulsory Purchase Order 2006
