The Highways Agency closed the central reservation gap on the A30 Trunk Road at Fingle Glen, near Exeter, under a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order.

Proposal to close the gap permanently have been published in draft (see Highways Agency Documents) and a Public Inquiry (see Inquiry Venue) is to be held, before an independent Inspector, into the responses received.

A Pre-Inquiry Meeting is to be held by the Inspector to set the procedures and his requirements for the Inquiry. This will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday 13 August at the Tedburn St. Mary Village Hall, Exeter, EX6 6EB.
